Young Israel of Bal Harbour, 9592 Harding Avenue in Surfside, provides a virtual smorgasbord of classes, lectures, Shabbatons and speakers to satisfy every taste and interest.

Daf Yomi is held Sunday through Friday after Shacharis services. Talmud classes are Monday through Friday at 6:20 a.m.. A ladies’ Tehillim group meets Mondays at 10:30 a.m. Monday is also the day for Lunch & Learn at 11:30 a.m.

Dr. Henry Abramson’s series on Jewish history meets every Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. A special women’s class convenes Thursday mornings for riveting lectures by Rebbetzin Rucha Baumann from 10 a.m. to noon.

Rabbi Moshe Greunstein leads a lively “Table Talk” group during Kiddush following Mussaf services on Shabbat. Participation by congregants is encouraged and often provides for a thought-provoking discussion.

Father and child learning on motzaei Shabbat meets at 7:30 p.m. Pizza, prizes and bonding are bonus features of the program.

The synagogue is presenting a captivating series of Shabbat programs and guest speakers in January. This week’s Shabbaton will feature Rabbi Benjamin Blech. An AIPAC speaker is planned for January 24-25. Scholar-in-residence for January 31-February 1 will be Rabbi Tzvi Hersh Weinreb.
