Events In The West: On Sunday, January 27, the Museum of Tolerance is hosting a screening of “Numbers” in commemoration of International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The next day, they are hosting a special exhibition of “Ghosts of Auschwitz-Birkenau” by Cole Thompson Photography… On Shabbat, February 1-2, Young Israel of Century City is hosting its third Shabbaton with the UCLA Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus (JLIC), run by Rabbi Aryeh and Sharona Kaplan. JLIC is responsible for creating Orthodox Jewish programming at UCLA… On Wednesday, February 6, Bnei Akiva is hosting its Annual Evening of Jewish Heroism at the Silver Screen Theater-Pacific Design Center… On Saturday night, February 9, AMIT LA is hosting an exclusive screening of “Live and Become,” the story of Ethiopian Jewry” – winner of 16 film festival awards.
