The Hillel community shared in a very proud moment recently. Lester Crown, a perennial member of the Forbes 400 list since 1982 and founder of the prestigious Covenant Foundation, took the stage in Washington, D.C. before a room of high-powered dignitaries, philanthropists, and innovators.

He began, “We at Crown Family Philanthropies believe that those who possess the creativity and passion to be catalysts for change and innovation in Jewish education are worthy of our, and your, recognition and support.” He then invited Rabbi Sufrin to join him on stage and presented him with the highest honor bestowed by his foundation: the Covenant Award.
