The Jewish version of TED Talks is ELI Talks. Leaders in Jewish Thought gather to give TED Talk styled presentations about modern Jewish ideas. This year, Jewish teens across the country were asked to submit their original thoughts on a Jewish concept in the TED Talk format.

Ms. Nona and Mr. Weiser, Soille Hebrew Day School’s English and Jewish Studies middle school teachers respectively, worked with a number of Hebrew Day students to help them develop an idea and format it correctly.

Tal Dimenstein has been selected to present her ELI Talk about Appreciation during this year’s conference in Chicago. The conference runs over three days and spotlights five renowned speakers per evening. Tal will be flown to Chicago to record and share her ELI Talk in front of a live audience. The recorded video will be included in the ELI Talk catalogue on their website for people to view for years to come.

The school is extraordinarily proud of this accomplishment.
