Events In The West: This Shabbos Rabbi Elimelech Goldberg is the scholar-in-residence at the Calabasas Shul in the West San Fernando Valley in L.A County… From November 8-9, Judy Klitsner, an Israeli bible scholar, disciple of Nechama Leibowitz, and a senior faculty member of the Pardes Institute for Jewish Studies, will be the scholar-in-residence at Emek Beracha in Palo Alto, CA… On November 9in the Pico-Robertson area of L.A, author and columnist Dr. Daniel Gordis will be the scholar-in-residence at Young Israel of Century City, and Rabbi David Orlofsky will have the same role at Anshe Emes… On November 17, the East Bay JCC in San Francisco will host a day of Jewish learning with Rabbi Simcha Green… The Museum of Tolerance at the Simon Wiesenthal Center is currently featuring an exhibit on Anne Frank.

Women Only: On Sunday, November 3 Rebbetzin Tziporah Heller will be speaking on “Achieving Balance: God, Family and Work” and “Connecting to God through the Siddur” at Adat Yeshurun in La Jolla, CA… On Monday, November 4 Rebbetzin Heller and Rebbetzin Tehilla Jaeger will be speaking on “Connect to our Spiritual Compass.” They will also show a Rachel Imeinu video… Every Tuesday from 9:30-11a.m. in a Sherman Oaks location, L.A.’s Jewish Family Services provides parent education and support for religious Jewish mothers. The focus is on skill building and self-growth. Childcare is available and all meetings are free of charge.
