The CCAOD advises the Board of Supervisors on drug- and alcohol-related issues, with the goal of reducing drug- and alcohol-related criminal activity and the negative impact these vices have on the quality of life in the county. The commission cooperates closely with the district attorney, Probation Department, public defender and sheriff.
