Why should I have to pay – literally – for someone else’s mistakes? I have no problem accepting the consequences of my errors, but it’s not right to suffer for someone else’s lapse in judgment, incompetence, omissions, shoddy work etc., which seems to be the norm these days.

As matters stand now, I’m at an impasse. I may have to go to social media to plead my case in the court of public opinion. Sometimes that is the only way to right a wrong.  Ironically, when I was issued a boarding pass for the other flight, the identical confirmation number was on it – as if I was merely re-booked.

How curious!

The moral of the story: As soon as you can, print your boarding pass, especially when booking on miles. I suspect that when the flight was canceled, so was my ticket.

I will keep you posted.
