By the way, we “Orthos” had a positive impact upon our secular fellows. They wanted to know what the “Orthos” did on Shabbat. So we told them to bring some nosh and drinks and meet us Friday night after dinner. We sat in a circle, schmoozed, sang songs, ate, told stories and became good friends. Many were surprised that Shabbat was so enjoyable. My rebbetzin wanted to relive the experience, so she invited all the attendees to enjoy a Shabbat at our home in Los Angeles. They came and brought their friends – the “Orthos” were well accepted. To this day, I treasure that experience.
