The search had just begun,
She did not want to be the one
She tried her best to remain
Unseen.

But they found her in a heartbeat,
The king felt his life was complete
When he saw the girl he took her as
His queen.

She never did refuse,
For she wasn’t allowed to choose
With whom she wanted to spend
Her life.

Her faith she had to hide,
To find out the king tried
But no answer would ever come from
His wife.

She lived in solitude,
The king called when in the mood
She stayed inside with no one she
Could trust.

The one from whom she had nothing to hide,
Was forced to stay outside
Her uncle warned her to keep her roots hidden
She must.

Then tragedy befell,
For her nation Yisrael
And to risk her life Esther
Was forced.

Willing to lose everything,
She came before the king
Thankfully G-d made the king feel
Remorse.

She invited him to come,
Along with evil Haman
To a party in their honor
The three just.

Her people believed the worst,
They thought Esther accursed
For drinking with the enemy without
Disgust.

But it was all part of her plan,
To get rid of the man
Who was planning to get rid of
Her nation.

A second party she held,
And before Achashverosh she fell
Pleading for her and her people’s
Salvation.

Haman was put to death,
And the Jews could take a breath
And Purim became a day we
Celebrate.

We see Purim as a day,
To laugh and party away
But for a minute change your perspective
Just wait.

Think how Esther must have felt,
During the situations with which she dealt
How she put her nation’s survival before
Her own.

She decided to be brave,
And with G-d’s help her nation was saved
Would you have had the courage
She showed?
