Fatah Terrorist Requested Humanitarian Permit to Enter Israel

Thursday, December 26th, 2013

A Palestinian Authority terrorist planning attacks on Israelis was arrested after seeking a permit to travel through Israel to Ramallah for medical care so that he could be in better health to murder Jews.

The audacity and warped thinking of a terrorist, who plans to murder Israelis and then asks the country to help him on “humanitarian grounds” to enter Israel for medical care in Ramallah, indicates just how far Israel has turned its cheek and is assumed by its enemies to be deaf, dumb and blind.

The terrorist was identified as 32-year-old Mohammed Abu-Amshah, a member of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades that is the terror wing of the Fatah party headed by Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas.

The Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) lifted a gag order on the case Thursday, when Amshah was indicted in a Be’er Sheva court for attempted murder, contact with an outside agent, and involvement in murder.

Among other terrorist plots, he planned an elaborate sniping attack against an IDF patrol along the Israel-Gaza security fence in which he would act as the sniper. He admitted to Israeli investigators that he gathered intelligence on IDF activities on various fronts, practiced sharpshooting and examined locations for executing the attack.

During his training to kill Israelis, he suffered an eye condition which impaired his sniping ability and requested to enter Israel with a humanitarian permit in order to receive medical treatment in a Ramallah hospital. He figured that after medical care, made possible by Israel’s allowing him to travel through the country, he then could have proper eyesight to murder Israelis.

That makes perfect sense if you are a terrorist operating against Israel.

Israel security forces are not yet that deaf, dumb and blind, and they arrested him.

“Israel authorizes the entrance of thousands of Gaza residents monthly for humanitarian and medical purposes,” said IDF Spokesman Lt. Col. Peter Lerner. “This instance of abuse of a permit for terrorist intentions, is loathsome, and poses a violation that jeopardizes the access for medical aid Israel and Judea and Samaria so many Palestinian enjoy”.

The terrorists; admission of his plot also is ample evidence why Israel Gaza needs to be physically separated from Judea and Samaria in any future Palestinian Authority state, at least on humanitarian grounds to save the lives of Israelis.

PA ‘Counter Terror” Army and Al Aqsa Terrorists Armed to the Teeth

Wednesday, December 4th, 2013

Elite Palestinian Authority security forces rounded up suspected Salafist terrorists in Shechem this week but left untouched Mahmoud Abbas’ Al Aqsa terrorist arm, which recently branded their rifles in a march to commemorate the death of Yasser Arafat.

The apparent contradiction highlights the heart of the constant threat that worldwide supplies of heavy-duty weapons for the PA forces will be used against Israel, exactly like the rifles that Israel gave Yasser Arafat in the hey-day of the Oslo Illusions were weapons that killed and wounded hundreds of Israelis when the Oslo Accords exploded.

The Palestinian National Security Forces (NSF) has a new counter-terrorism unit called Special Operations Unit 101 (SOU 101), deployed in Jenin, and its “Brigade 9” in Shechem. The NSF rounded this past Sunday 20 Salafist terrorist members in Jenin, Shechem and Kalkilya.

Palestinian Authority sources insisted that the Salafists were not directly affiliated with Al Qaeda despite a shared ideology. Three days before the roundup, Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) and the IDF killed three Salafist terrorists south of Hevron and whom the Mujahedeen Shura Council said were “the tip of the iceberg.”

“By the will of God Almighty, the global jihadist doctrine has reached the bank of pride, the West Bank, planting its foothold after all attempts to thwart its presence,” the Council said after their members were killed.

It was later revealed that the Palestinian Authority had arrested several other Salafists in an apparent coordinated effort with the IDF.

A Palestinian Authority official told the Bethlehem-based Ma’an News Agency that all of the Salafists who were arrested were former members of Hamas.

In October, the PA elite unit operated in Jenin. Its commander Major Sadam Amr, told IHS Jane’s that around 150 soldiers are in the unit and are armed with Zastava M70 assault rifles, fitted with picatinny rails so they can be used with the red dot, laser and night vision sites acquired by the unit.

“Each rifle upgrade cost us $1,000, “Major Amr told Janes, which added, “The unit is also equipped with a tactical communications system made by a UIS company called Tiger. The radios allow members of the unit to stay in contact with each other in their operations room.

“The unit uses Ford F-150 pick-up trucks, several of which have been fitted with protective armor…as well as 7.62 mm machine guns to provide fire support.

That should be a great relief to Israelis, now certain that Mahmoud Abbas deployed his forces to tear down the terrorist infrastructure,

The problem is that in the Palestinian Authority, “terrorists” are Hamas members and Salafists, while Abbas’ Fatah party “military” squad, quaintly named the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, simply is a group of resistance fighters.

With masks over their faces and assault weapons in their peace partner hands, they held a military parade between Ramallah and Jerusalem two weeks ago to mark the ninth anniversary of Arafat’s death.

The Oslo Accords are not relevant any more. The Palestinian Authority has broken word after word and clause after clause, but some of the text bears repeating.

The number of armed forces in the Palestinian Authority is way beyond the limit stated in the Accords, which also declare, “The Palestinian Police will act systematically against all expressions of violence and terror. The Council will issue permits in order to legalize the possession and carrying of arms by civilians. Any illegal arms will be confiscated by the Palestinian Police.”

The agreement also states, “The Palestinian Police will possess the following arms and equipment: up to 4,000 rifles;  up to 4,000 pistols; up to 120 machine guns of 0.3″ or 0.5″ caliber; and up to 15 light, unarmed riot vehicles.

How Abbas Views Terrorist Murder

Thursday, May 2nd, 2013

The tragic death of Evyatar Borowski, an Israeli father of five young children, murdered yesterday by a knife-wielding Palestinian Arab at a hitch-hiking post at Tapuah Junction in the Shomron, attracted media attention in the Arab world.

Fatah party representatives praised as a hero a Palestinian attacker who stabbed an Israeli to death at a West Bank junction on Tuesday. The organization posted pictures from the scene of the attack on its official Facebook page, accompanying each image with a caption boasting of the stabber’s “success.” Officials also expressed hope that he would be quickly released from prison. [Times of Israel]

The Los Angeles Times went a step further, connecting the head of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, to the killing. It reminds readers that credit for the terror attack was claimed by the notorious Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades which styles itself as “the military wing” of the Fatah Party whose head is Mahmoud Abbas. Al Aqsa’s post-stabbing announcement takes proud responsibility

…calling it revenge for Israel’s treatment of Palestinian prisoners, including two who recently died while in custody. The group called the killing a “gift” to Palestinian prisoners and promised more operations in the future. Abbas, who has repeatedly condemned the use of violence and vowed to prevent another uprising as long as he is in power, did not immediately comment on the attack… [LA Times]

We have never understood – and still don’t – how Abbas continues to be called ‘moderate’ in many of the news reports about events in this neighborhood. He is the leader of a violent terrorist undertaking, encourages terror, praises terrorists while sanctimoniously almost-condemning it, and yet continues to be received in world capitals as if he were a regular political leader.

The Facebook page of Fatah, which he heads, carries a heroic portrait today of the stabber, Salaam (“peace”) Zaghal, an AK-47 rifle positioned beneath his head. The caption addresses the killer with these words:

“Peace be with you the day of your birth, on the day of your imprisonment and on the day of your freedom…” [source]

Zaghal served a three-year prison term for offences involving the hurling of stones and of firebombs (“Molotov cocktails”) and other criminal offenses, and was released from his Israeli cell just a month ago. It’s reported in the Israeli media that the murder he carried out yesterday was a kind of family-honour act, coming just a day after his brother was put before a Palestinian Authority court on charges of collaborating with Israel.

Moral contortions of that kind are unfortunately a big part of today’s Palestinian Arab social mores. In that sense, Abbas is a well-chosen and highly appropriate figurehead.

5 Arabs Indicted for Temple Mount Shooting Plot

Thursday, April 18th, 2013

The Jerusalem District Attorney on Thursday filed in District Court an indictment against five young residents of East Jerusalem, accused of participating in a conspiracy to commit kidnapping and shooting attacks against Jewish civilians in the city. According to the indictment, in February the group leader, Nur Hamdan, decided to launch a shooting attack on Jews coming to pray on the Temple Mount and against the police in East Jerusalem.

The indictment says that Hamdan recruited a gang of four young residents of Ras al-Amud and of a-Tur. To reach the recruits, Hamdan was in touch with the Hamas military wing, the Izz a-Din al-Qassam Brigade, and Fatah’s military arm, The Al-Aqsa martyrs Brigade, and with terrorists in Judea and Samaria and the Gaza Strip. Those organizations gave their support to the new gang with training and weapons to carry out the plan.

During the months of February and March, the gang members, most of them in their 20s, held meetings in which they drew plans to shoot Jewish worshipers on the Temple Mount and police forces stationed in Jerusalem. Also, the members planned to kidnap a Jew in order to take his gun and kill him, and then commit more criminal offenses.

According to the indictment, early last month two defendants, Imad Shaar and Jalal Qutub, planned to grab a Jews and kill him in order to obtain his weapon. They decided to ride between pickup stands for hitchhikers, and welcome into their vehicle an armed Jewish civilian (many Israeli civilians who live east of the green line carry handguns), grab his weapon and then murder him.

The two men, along with defendant Amjad Razem, drove two vehicles towards the Pisgat Ze’ev neighborhood, with one of them carrying a weapon. They picked up a Jewish civilian who was at a bus stop, looking to reach the Adam settlement. But once it became clear that their passenger did not carry a weapon, the defendants dropped him at the entrance to his destination.

So, really, the only thing the terrorist gang actually managed to execute is giving a lift to a Jew.

During his interrogation by the General Security Service, the head of the cell confessed to planning to carry out military operations on the Temple Mount, “to protect the Al-Aqsa Mosque.” The plan was inspired by videos bio he had watched on You Tube about attacks carried out in Jerusalem, especially the attack against the Merkaz Harav yeshiva in 2008.

According to the indictment, Hamdan contacted the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade in Gaza and Shchem, and asked for assistance to carry out a shooting attack against security forces on the Temple Mount. He later recruited his friends, Omar Wazwaz, Shaer and Qutub, who live in aTur, for the attack.

Members of the cell carried out several gun target practices near the Qalandia refugee camp, north of Jerusalem, and were planning to go to Shchem to meet with a local Tanzim terrorist, to ask him for assistance with weapons and money for their activities.

The indictment also states that two guns, magazines and a pipe bomb were seized from the home of another defendant, Firas Dajani, a resident of aTur.
