A major injustice is occurring in Israel that I wanted to bring to your attention.

Obviously, the fate of the appeal will depend on the panel of judges Supreme Court President Justice Esther Hayut will decide to assemble.

Ben Uliel has been detained in solitary confinement and is not allowed to use the phone. Now, over the past two months, his family is not allowed to visit him because of the coronavirus pandemic.

"This whole case is a libel, tailored by the prosecution, the Shin Bet and the IPS, which helps them break Amiram."

The Shin Bet statement quite clearly either contradicts the earlier version of events as reported in the Israeli press, or alters the components of the story to produce a new, possibly misleading version.

On the week following the arson in Duma, President Reuven Rivlin took a firm position against the arsonists, declaring: “My people have chosen terror.” He did so without an ounce of proof and should apologize.

During the hearing, the judge said that "the use of the [excessive] means (the state's euphemism for torture) severely violated the rights of the defendants."

The prosecution argued that after the two defendants had confessed to the crime under torture that lasted more than eight consecutive hours, they repeated the same confession without the painful persuasion.

There was a feeble attempt on the part of the PA Arabs to blame the "settlers" for the fire, but a preliminary investigation showed it was a villager-on-villager arson.

Three juveniles are also accused of a series of serious acts of terrorism against Arabs.
