The World According to Anti-Semites

Wednesday, February 10th, 2016

There are those of us who see and feel antisemitism as the underlying source of numerous/all acts against Israel and Jewish People all over the world.

And we also see many people who deny their antisemitism as anti-Semites. Their antipathy to Jews and Israel is so natural, ingrained and rationalized that they honestly don’t realize the actual source.

  • Can the illogical, disproportionately huge amount of United Nations and Security Council resolutions and papers against Israel have any source other than antisemitism?
  • Can the unprecedentedly severe punishment and continued punishment of Jonathan Jay Pollard have any rationale besides antisemitism?
  • Can the acceptance by the world of Nazi Holocaust/extermination of European Jewry have any cause other than antisemitism? Please remember that the war against the Nazis was to stop its political takeover of Europe and Great Britain, not to stop the systematic murders.
  • Can the Inquisition or the Crusaders invasion and pillaging of the Holy Land have any cause other than antisemitism?
  • Can the pressure on Israel to rollback its miraculous victory in the war for survival, June, 1967 Six Days War, be anything other than antisemitism?
I can go on and on. What examples can you think of? Please comment, thanks.

JewishPress.com Gets Spray Painted

Wednesday, April 15th, 2015

Pardon our disappearance, the JewishPress.com website was hacked overnight.

The attack was launched around 2:30 AM Israel time, at which point the hackers, who claimed to be from Gaza, caused a page in Arabic to display on top of the JewishPress.com page.

The main photo in their hack was an Islamist sitting on a horse carrying what appears to be an Islamic State (Da’esh) flag, while standing near the Dome of the Rock on a desolate and ravaged Temple Mount.

Strangely enough, the hack also displayed a whiny YouTube video flaunting their constant humiliation by the Zionists, a complaint that their fellow Islamists have abandoned them to the Zionists, and how they welcome the bliss of death by the Zionists. It sounded like they were saying Allah is a Zionist.

Go figure — It must be a cultural thing to wear your degradation on your (or someone else’s) sleeve.

As they spray-painted our page and slashed the tires, the hackers also tried to torch the entire site with their downloaded root-kit, but failed.

The hackers actually managed to kick themselves off our system in the middle of their vandalism.

That happens when junior hackers get their hands on sophisticated off-the-shelf hacking tools and weapons which they don’t really know how to use properly.

Certainly an apt analogy for not letting the Islamic Republic of Iran acquire nuclear weapons.

What they did was an annoyance, the equivalent of sticking chewing gum in your door locks and spray-painting graffiti on your storefront window.

But that’s why God created automated backups, though a site our size takes time to properly restore and secure.

Hackers and haters obsessively and relentlessly go after Jewish websites, and the bigger you are the more likely they are to specifically target you, as other large Jewish websites also recently discovered.

Over the past 4 years, hackers have repeatedly been trying to dig their tunnels into the JewishPress.com (and failing). Perhaps there’s just a little too much electricity flowing into Gaza, that this time they got lucky.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to review our security and business continuity procedures.

MK Ohayon to EU Officials: ‘Don’t Let Antisemites Define Hate’

Tuesday, November 5th, 2013

Likud Yisrael Beitenu MK Dr. Shimon Ohayon met today in the Knesset with groups from the European Union, including a delegation of Members of the European Parliament and the EU Deputy Ambassador to Israel.

Among the topics discussed were the rise in Antisemitism in Europe, especially in light of the soon to be released survey by the EU’s Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA) which shows a significant rise in Antisemitism over the last five years.

“Antisemitism in Europe is at its greatest peak since the end of the Second World War and there are now places on the continent where Jews can no longer live and many others where no outward expressions of Jewishness are tolerated,” MK Ohayon, who Chairs the Knesset Lobby for the Struggle against Antisemitism, said. “Europe needs to deal more seriously with this rise in hate which is creating an untenable situation for the Jews of Europe. However, to really fight Antisemitism, the European Union first needs a fundamental definition which law enforcement agencies and judicial bodies can use to prosecute those who target Jews and Jewish institutions.”

“I call on all relevant European agencies to recognize and legally ratify the Working Definition of Antisemitism as adopted in 2005,” MK Ohayon said. In 2004, the European Union Monitoring Center on Racism and Xenophobia (EUMC), the predecessor to the FRA, released its first comprehensive study of Antisemitism in the EU. Soon after, the agency adopted the “Working Definition of Antisemitism.”

But while bodies like the American State Dept. make use of the definition, it has never been fully adopted by the European Union or any European member nations. Earlier this year, a British college lecturer took legal action against the University and College Union (UCU) in the UK in the face of what he argued was institutional Antisemitism, which included the union’s decision to reject the EU Working Definition of Antisemitism, thus allowing rampant manifestations of hate against Jews on British university campuses.

“The lack of a unified and vigorous definition means that antisemites will continue to act with impunity knowing that their actions cannot be prosecuted,” MK Ohayon said. “We must not allow antisemites to define hate. Jews need protection before the law and the law needs guidance or it will be rendered useless and irrelevant.”

“There are many antisemites who have been fighting against the ‘Working Definition’ for many years, so they can continue their attacks on Jews and the Jewish State. The European Union needs to tell these people that their racism and hatred will no longer be acceptable and their actions will be punishable by the law.”
