Flight from Dubai Lands in Israel

A Royal Jordanian Airbus A320 flight from Dubai to Amman, Jordan was forced to make an emergency landing, in Israel at Ben Gurion Airport.

The plane, RJA611, was diverted due to poor landing conditions in Jordan, and low fuel.

The plane landed safely at 3:15 PM.

Airport personnel gave the passengers Krembos (a cookie and cream treat).

Update 10:16 AM: Damaged El Al Plane Makes Safe Emergency Landing

10:16: The EL Al plane has made a safe emergency landing, thank God.

Technicians are preparing to replace the damaged wheel, and the plane is expected to take off again around noon.

10:01: The El Al plane is making its final approach over western Samaria before an emergency landing at 10:15.

“IDF Elite” reported on Twitter that the plane has flown over the airport three times, possibly to allow engineers to take images of the underside of plane for analysis.

Delta flight #469 with 362 passengers made an emergency landing at Ben Gurion airport at 2:30 AM on Sunday.

The plane, a Boeing 747 flying from Ben Gurion to JFK, declared the emergency shortly after takeoff, and circled over the ocean for over an hour before returning back to land in Israel.

IAF Navigator Emergency Lands F-16

Tuesday, March 25th, 2014

During an IAF flight over the Mediterranean on Monday, an F-16i pilot suffered from vertigo and wasn’t able to fly the plane.

The Navigator took over the F-16 and landed it safely.

The Air Force has decided to run refresher flight safety courses all week.

Regular operations will continue.
