The exercise is planned in advance as part of the army’s regular annual training program to maintain troop readiness.

Pence and Liberman agreed during their meeting on the need to "counter threats posed by Iran and its proxies as well as terrorist organizations."

Two Australian F-35A stealth fighter jets are unable to fly safely in thunder and lightning, according to the Royal Australian Air Force.

The first two F-35 stealth fighter jets are expected to arrive in Israel next month.
