IDF Officer Reports from the Gaza Front (Video)

Saturday, August 23rd, 2014

Hamas terrorists “shot at us from mosques, schools and of course from civilian houses,” reports Lt. Adam Landau.

“In the end, if they shoot at you from a mosque, as difficult as it is, you don’t have an option…. And it’s not easy to shoot at a mosque. It’s important for a lot of people. It’s like a synagogue, but you get in a situation where you have to return fire to the mosques because that is where the terrorists are firing from.

You see a family’s house, and you see the clothing hanging outside [and] girls’ dresses waving in the wind, and behind all of this is a terrorist holding an AK-47 shooting at you.

You see how Hamas exploits children… We started to look for a terrorist who we knew was in a specific house. Suddenly, a small boy appeared. The terrorist grabbed him and escaped with him. Just because a terrorist enter a civilian does not give him immunity. On the other hand, we have to think very carefully before we act because no one wants to injure innocent civilians, especially women and children. It makes it very difficult to complete your goal of eliminating a terrorists because he is hugging a small child…It is not our decision. The terrorists took the decision and put it in hour hands.

‘Islamic Militants’ Gun Down 56 in Nigerian Mosque

Tuesday, August 13th, 2013

Islamic militants wearing army fatigues murdered 44 people who were praying at a mosque in northeast Nigeria. Another 12 civilians were killed in a simultaneous attack, security agents said Monday.

Sunday’s attacks were the latest in a wave of violence by religious extremists in West Africa, where the Boko Haram group, wishing to oust the government and impose Islamic law, has been posing the greatest security threat in years.

Security agents are still trying to figure out the Islamic Boko Haram would kill worshipping Muslims. The group has been known to attack mosques whose clerics have spoken out against religious extremism. Boko Haram also has attacked Christians outside churches and teachers and schoolchildren, as well as government and military targets.

According to the AP, since 2010, the Boko Haram have been blamed for the murders of more than 1,700 people.

The mosque murders took place Sunday morning in Konduga, 22 miles outside Maiduguri, the capital of Nigeria’s Borno state.

British ‘Jewish Police’ Force to Protect Mosques

Tuesday, June 25th, 2013

The “Shomrim” Haredi police uniformed police force in London has offered to protect mosques in the Hackney district following violent attacks on local mosques, the British edition of Huffington Post reported.

The Shomrim regularly patrol the heavily Jewish populated area of Stamford Hills and often detain suspects until police arrive. The group’s origins are in New York, where the Shomrim organized after being tired of long response times of the local men in blue.

Muslim leaders met with Shomrim officials in a London area mosque  to discuss mutual cooperation, promoted by Hackney councilor Ian Sharer, an orthodox Jew who helped found the Muslim-Jewish forum.

“In our ward, the three councilors are two Haredi Jews, and one religious Muslim. We have been friends for many years, and we get on every well,” he told Huffington. “This is a very serious situation, and so I thought, why not call my friends from Shomrim?”

The Muslims welcomed the  offer and now have the Shomrim phone number to call if there is trouble.

Recent Muslim attacks have included arson on a community center and a homemade explosive device that was found at a mosque.
