Egyptian Gas Pipeline to Israel Blown Up Yet Again

Monday, April 9th, 2012

The Egyptian pipeline carrying gas to Israel and Jordan was hit by an explosion on Monday for 14th time since last spring’s uprising against President Hosni Mubarak began.

Reuters reports that the blast took place in the northern Sinai, at the town of El-Arish. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

The pipeline has been shut down on February 5 after an earlier explosion.
