Arabs Attack Jewish Drivers with Rocks Packed in Snowballs

Thursday, December 12th, 2013

The snow in Jerusalem Thursday no only did not stop Arabs from attacking Jewish motorists with rocks but also helped them to do sin by disguising the rocks as snowballs.

Pelting drivers with snowballs is a dangerous hobby all over the world because  if they are like ice, the projectiles can easily break a window or simply cause the driver to panic and cause an accident.

That is the objective of Arabs who throw rocks at Jewish drivers every day, but two Haredim were suppressed Thursday when “snowballs” crashed through their window in the Beit Hanina neighborhood in Jerusalem. As the snowballs melted away, the rocks were exposed.

No one was injured in the ambush, but their car sustained damage.

U.S. Drama Series by ‘Homeland’ Writer to Be Filmed In Jerusalem

Thursday, November 14th, 2013

A new drama series to be aired on the NBC subsidiary USA Network will be the first American television series to be filmed  in Israel, and most of the scenes will be in eastern Jerusalem.

“Dig” will be filmed in the City of David national park located in the Silwan neighborhood of Jerusalem as well as the Old City. The series will be produced by Gideon Raff, screenwriter of the Israeli series “Hatufim,” which is aired in the United States as “Homeland” and co-written by “Heroes” writer Tim Kring, a co-creator of “Homeland.”

The first six episodes have been purchased without buying a pilot.

The series, which will feature Israeli and American actors, deals with an American FBI agent stationed in Jerusalem who uncovers a conspiracy while investigating the murder of an American archaeologist.

Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat, who worked to bring the project to Jerusalem, said, “The new series is a significant milestone on the road as Jerusalem becomes an attractive location for international productions. Jerusalem’s rich history attracts series and films with great stories to tell.”

The filing in Silwan will present challenge for security forces because it has been a source of hundreds of violent rock-throwing attacks on Jewish motorists and has caused several serious injuries to drivers and passengers who sometimes barely escape ambushes on narrow streets in the area.

Rock-Throwing Arabs Ambush Israeli Drivers on Road to Jerusalem

Tuesday, October 22nd, 2013

A mob of dozens of Palestinian Authority rock-throwers injured five Jews on the road from Tekoa, in eastern Gush Etzion, to Jerusalem Tuesday morning. At least one of the victims was evacuated by ambulance, and his condition was described as good.

The mob, which included women and children, smashed windshields with large rocks in an effort to cause fatal accidents. Six cars sustained damage.

One driver said he lost control of his vehicle but managed to keep from crashing and from hitting the attackers.

Israeli soldiers arrived at the scene and dispersed the attackers.
