Arab Suspects Arrested in Neve Daniel Terror Attack

Wednesday, February 10th, 2016

Security forces arrested three young Arab suspects shortly after midnight in connection with the stabbing of an Israeli jogger near Neve Daniel late Tuesday afternoon.

Tomer Ditor, 28, was attacked Tuesday by an Arab terrorist as he jogged along the Derech Avot path between the Jewish communities of Elazar and Neve Daniel.

Ditor, a student who lives in the Gush Etzion community of Rosh Tzurim, was able to make it to the gated entrance of Neve Daniel to report the attack, despite his wounds. He was rushed to the Trauma Unit at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, where he was listed in fair condition.

The suspects were taken into custody at the Palestinian Authority village of Kfar Nachlin, which is located close to Neve Daniel.

All three were turned over to Shin Bet Israel Security Agency personnel for interrogation, according to local sources.

Cherry Picking Festival

Sunday, June 17th, 2012

The cherry picking festival was held last Friday in Kibbutz Rosh Tzurim, Gush Etzion.

Kibbutz Rosh Tzurim was founded after 1967, on the remains of Kibbutz Ein Tzurim, which was destroyed by the Jordanian Legion in 1948.

Close to ten years ago, the kibbutz went through a privatization process and opened its doors to additional families, first through the rental of available houses, and later with the decision to build an additional neighborhood, Nof Tzurim, on the kibbutz grounds.

Today there are close to one hundred families ranging from young newlyweds, many young families, and even a few retired couples.

The next phase of construction is under way at Rosh Tzurim.
