Report: Arafat Poisoning Tests Paid by Widow, PA

Monday, November 11th, 2013

The widow of Yasser Arafat and the Palestinian Authority paid for the Swiss medical tests on the late Palestinian leader’s body that showed he did not die of natural causes.

The Washington Free Beacon reported Friday that a spokesperson for the University Centre of Legal Medicine in Lausanne told the newspaper that Suha Arafat and the P.A. paid for the tests.

The tests “moderately” supported the notion that Arafat had been poisoned with polonium, a radioactive substance.

Al Jazeera America reported last week that it believed the Swiss lab conducted the tests for free as a public service, according to the Free Beacon.

Polonium is a highly toxic substance that is rarely found outside military and scientific circles. The substance was found in Arafat’s ribs and pelvis, and in the soil beneath where his body was buried, according to Al Jazeera America.

A report issued Friday by a team of Russian scientists found insufficient evidence that Arafat was poisoned with polonium.

Arafat led the Palestine Liberation Organization for 35 years and became the first president of the Palestinian Authority in 1996. He fell violently ill in October 2004 and died two weeks later, at the age of 75, in a Paris military hospital. His remains were exhumed last year

Suha Arafat had filed legal action in July 2012 asking French authorities to look into claims that her husband was poisoned. The following month, French prosecutors opened a murder inquiry into the death of Arafat.

Setting Up the Yasser Booth

Friday, November 8th, 2013

Here are two Arab merchants in Ramallah unloading posters of the late Chairman Yasser Arafat, with the caption in Arabic “Don’t let the olive branch fall from my hand,” November 7, 2013.

In 1973, exactly 40 years ago, the UN General Assembly passed a resolution condemning Zionism as a form of racism and supporting the right of the Palestinian people to self- determination. Chairman Arafat appeared before the UN Assembly wearing a gun holster and bearing an olive branch, and threatened: “Don’t let the olive branch fall from my hand.”

Much blood has spilled since then, most of it Arab, thank God, but a lot of it our own, too. Yasser Arafat has gone in and out of fashion, he was dying there for a while, then died, and now has been resurrected as the presumed victim of polonium poisoning (as discovered by a Swiss team that was told to discover traces of polonium poisoning). And so, once again, the merchants of Ramallah can dust off their local equivalent of the Elvis velvet paintings (which they also have in stock, of course).

Arabs Launch the Great ‘Polonium Poisoned Arafat’ Hoax

Monday, October 14th, 2013

The Palestinian Authority is trumpeting a Swiss report that Israel killed Yasser Arafat with polonium, but chemists have told The Jewish Press that the basis for the accusations is “nonsense.”

Arafat died nine years ago next month, and the Palestine Liberation Organization from day one has accused Israel of murdering him. The idea that Israel poisoned him with polonium surfaced last year after when Al Jazeera reported that high levels of the radioactive substance polonium were found on Arafat’s clothing.

His body then was exhumed for an examination, but the report on the results had been postponed time and time again, without explanation, leading to the reasonable conclusion that the PA was not able to come up with the needed evidence.

Now, just in time for Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas to throw a screwball at the  brain dead “peace talks” that are slowly returning to the grave,  the Lancet publication has published a report by Swiss radiation experts that “support the possibility” Arafat was poisoned to death.

Raising the “possibility” gets the Palestinian Authority off the hook. It cannot prove Arafat was poisoned and in effect is saying, “Go prove that Israel did not poison him.”

The Jewish Press is proving it indeed did not.

Chemists told The Jewish Press that not only is the report ridiculous in terms of chemistry, but there also are plenty of easier and less traceable ways to murder someone.

Given the admitted disappearance of polonium over a period of years, Israel would have had to use millions of times more polonium than what remains.

The Lancet report jibes well with the entire Palestinian Authority ideology, which history eventually will show as being a pack of lies that the “objective” media report as fact.  The report in Lancet really is not much different from what Al Jazeera reported last year when it quoted Francois Bochud, the head of the Institute of Radiation Physics, who said his team “did find some significant polonium” in Arafat’s belongings before the exhumation.”

Making the Lancet report even more suspicious is that it was written by the same Swiss scientists of the Institute for Radiation Physics who did the initial testing that was published by Al Jazeera. In other words, the not-so-independent experts reviewed their own work.

Even the exhumation smelled fishy. As Elder of Ziyon pointed out last year, “A Palestinian pathologist was the only person allowed to touch the body when Arafat’s grave was opened.”

He took 60 samples for the probe. The Lancet report states that eight scientists carried out radiological tests on 73 samples, 28 from Arafat’s clothes and toothbrush, which had saliva stains, and 37 on “reference” samples of cotton clothing that had conveniently been kept for a decade.

“Several samples containing body fluid stains (blood and urine) contained higher unexplained polonium 210 activities than the reference samples,” says the case report. “These findings support the possibility of Arafat’s poisoning with polonium 210.”

It concluded that after taking into consideration polonium’s delay, the remaining levels of polonium  mean that a lethal dose would have been astronomical.

If polonium had been used to kill Arafat, his hair would have fallen out, chemists told The Jewish Press.

The scientists acknowledged this fact, without comment, except to add that “an autopsy would have been useful” at the time of his death.

Of course, the Palestinian Authority did not want to do such thing in 2004 because there was no evidence of any poisoning.

Beatrice Schaad, head of communications at the Vaudois University Hospital Center that is in charge of the Institute, told AFP that the report in Lancet simply is the scientific version of last year’s report and, “There is still no conclusion that he was poisoned.”

One chemist, who said his name cannot be used because he works for a large Israeli chemicals firm, told The Jewish Press , “Why would Israel choose polonium to kill Arafat when there are lots of other substances that can cause death a lot quicker and that are not traceable?

Dr. Avraham Rotman, said, “Polonium 210 has a half-life of 138 days; it is hard to imagine that it could be detected in a small sample after nine years.”

“Half-life” means the radioactivity of a sample drops by half during the specified period. After eight years, when Arafat’s body was exhumed, virtually nothing would be left unless it came for a natural source that could replenish the polonium or unless he had been injected with enough polonium to kill a herd of elephants.

Letter Reveals Rav Ovadia Retracted ‘Land for Peace’ Ruling in 2003

Wednesday, October 9th, 2013

Rabbi Ovadia Yosef reversed his famous “Land for Peace” ruling of 1993 after the Palestinian Authority literally exploded in Israel’s face a decade later with large-scale terrorist attacks, including suicide bombings.

The revelation of the letter, seen below, explains Rav Ovadia’s incredibly strong statements in recent sermons, such as one of the most famous ones three years ago when he said of the Palestinian Authority, “All these evil people should perish from this world. God should strike them with a plague, them and these Palestinians.”

In 1993, when the prospect of peace turned into a mantra that mass media used to blind themselves and wishful-thinkers, the idea of Israel’s surrendering Judea, Gaza and Samaria for peace with Yasser Arafat was pushed by U.S. President Bill Clinton.

The Israeli government was split, and the Shas party, which obeyed whatever Rav Ovadia said, withstood arguments from nationalists and kept the Rabin-Peres coalition government alive with his famous ruling in favor of giving up “land for peace” because it is a matter of “pikuach nefesh,” saving the lives of Jews.

After Rav Ovadia died, Israel’s populist but rather ignorant media turned the funeral into a peace festival that obliterated the greatness of the rabbi, who wrote 50 books and who was cited all over the world as one of the greatest Torah sages ever.

The “expert analysts” on Israel radio and in the mass media explained that Rav Ovadia was a great man, but not because of  his brilliant mind that lived and breathed Torah and not because of the Shas party that he founded and turned into a kingmaker in Israeli politics.

“Land for peace” was the reason 800,000 Jews from all sects of Israeli society came to the funeral.

What they did not say is that 10 years after Oslo, during the Second Intifada that also is known as the Oslo War, Rav Ovadia ruled exactly the opposite.

Instead of “land for peace” being an issue to save the lives of Jews, it had become clear that it was a concept that endangered Jews.

Arafat’s “peace,” which murdered more than 1,000 Jews, wounded thousands others and which continues until today under the invisible hand of Mahmoud Abbas, is not the peace Rav Ovadia had in mind.

He wrote, “My dear brothers of Israel, residents of Judea and Samaria:

“It is my intention to make clear my position concerning Judea and Samaria. I have explained more than once since my Halachic ruling, that giving up land for peace has no validity in light of the current situation.

“I intended there be a true peace, in which Jerusalem and its surroundings will be secure in peace and quiet. But now, our eyes see that surrendering our holy land causes a danger to life.

“This is not the peace for which we prayed. Therefore, the Oslo Accords are null and void.”

Rav Ovadia then cited the verse form Psalms that states, “I speak peace and they speak war.”

Just as populist media falsified Rav Ovadia’s ruling, it has turned Jews in Israel and all over the world into victims of ignorant and slanderous reporting of Rav Ovadia’s Saturday night sermons. They took phrases out of contact and without any understanding that the rabbis was speaking the language his constituents understood, which is not the style of the pseudo-sophisticated Ashkenazi elite and certainly not that of the bleeding-heart media.

The Aish HaTorah website once quoted Rav Ovadia with comments that stated much clearer his idea of land for peace.

It quoted Rav Ovadia as saying, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef stated: “If the heads and commanders of the army, together with the government, state that saving of life is involved; that if areas of Israel are not given back, the danger exists of immediate war on the part of our Arab neighbors;

“And if the areas are returned to them, the danger of war will be averted; and that there is a chance of permanent peace; then it seems that according to all opinions it is permitted to return areas of Israel in order to achieve this aim, since nothing is more important than the saving of life.”

The Palestinian Authority war or terror on Israeli in the 1990s, after the Oslo Accords did not satisfy Arafat’s appetite to swallow up Israel, took a breather towards the end of the decade when the Barak government was on the verge of giving Arafat almost everything he wanted.

Gaza Jihadist: Israel Killed Arafat for not Signing Agreement

Sunday, September 15th, 2013

Here is the latest jihadist history lesson: Israel killed Yasser Arafat because he refused to sign an agreement at Camp David in 2000.

Islamic Jihad leader Mohammed al-Hindi, speaking during a rally in Gaza City, claimed that Arafat was put under siege after returning from the summit, before being poisoned for his unyielding position, the Bethlehem-based Ma’an News Agency reported Sunday.

Then-Prime Minister Ehud Barak had offered Arafat to create a Palestinian Authority state with approximately 97 percent of its territorial claims. Arafat refused and resume the Intifada, popularly known as the Second Intifada, and also called the Oslo War.

Arafat died in 2004. The Palestinian Authority still claims he was poisoned by Israel. If the Islamic Jihadist theory is correct, it took Israel four years to poison Arafat, who despite being under “siege” men aged to manage a terrorist campaign that killed hundreds of Israeli civilians and soldiers.

The need for the Islamic Jihad to try to invent history shows how desperate it is to survive. Egypt has carried out an aggressive offensive to wipe out Hamas, Islamic Jihad and other terrorist gangs operating in the Sinai and in Rafiah, which straddles the Egyptian-Gaza border.

Abbas Stuns Israel, Implies Surrender of ‘Right of Return’

Friday, August 23rd, 2013

Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas played his ace Thursday and told Israeli leftist Knesset Members he will make the grand concession of giving up a “demand in the future to return to Jaffa, Acre or Haifa.”

The United States will jump on his statement, which in effect concedes the so-called “right of return,” as the greatest goodwill gesture since the deadly Oslo Accords, leaving Israel in a weak and almost defenseless corner in discussions with the Palestinian Authority.

Abbas previously has talked out of both sides of his mouth on the issue of flooding Israel with 5 million foreign Arabs who claim Israel as their home, based on the United Nations designation of “Arab refugees” even though they are three and four generations away from those who fled or were chased out of Israel in previous wars.

He has hinted several times that the demand is not realistic while telling Palestinian Authority Arabs it is a condition for an agreement with Israel.

With the resumed peace talks less than a month old, Abbas has taken the initiative and leaves Israel holding the bag of goodies that it now will be pressured to give up to match Abbas’ ostensible generosity.

Abbas has outfoxed Israel, which is not hard to do considering the deck of cards stacked in favor of the Palestinian Authority.

First, The United States, the European Union, Russia and the entire Muslim world considers Israel an “occupier.” It took Israel 45 years to come up with a much-too-late report of legal experts that Jews have every right to live anywhere they want in Judea and Samaria and all of Jerusalem, including areas occupied by Jordan between the War of Independence in 1948 and the Six-Day War in 1967.

Second, the United Nations has condemned millions of Arabs to be “refugees” by making them the only people in the world whose refugee status carries on from generation to generation.

Third, the United States has allowed the Palestinian Authority to ignore, time and time again, parts of the Oslo Agreements to the point that they are not even worth the paper on which they were signed. The only value of the document was for Yitzchak Rabin and Yasser Arafat, both of whom were crowned Nobel Peace Prize laureates, but that was before Arafat turned his Israeli-supplied rifles on Jews.

“The Palestinian people is ready for and wants peace,” Abbas told Knesset Members from the left-wing Meretz party in Ramallah Thursday. “We will not demand in the future to return to Jaffa, Acre or Haifa. Peace with Israel will be final and binding.”

By giving up the so-called “right of return,” a term that in itself is a perverted play on the Israeli term that for Jews all over the world to become citizens in Israel, Abbas has delivered a knockout punch to Israel.

All of Israel’s demands – security, United Jerusalem, and building for Jews in areas claimed by the Palestinian Authority – now will be seen as obstacles to peace.

Abbas has proven himself to be very clever, which is not very difficult to do considering the universal anti-Israel sentiment.

Ever since he was elected to take over from Arafat in the first and only election, Abbas shunned Arafat’s kefiyeh and pistol on the hip and globetrotted with a suit and tie.

He painstakingly drummed up international support, and last year he cashed in his chips by thumbing his nose at the United States, circumventing direct talks that had not existed since 2010, and going to the United Nations General Assembly for a non-binding recognition as a country based on all of its political and territorial demands.

His meeting on Thursday with Meretz MKs takes the direct discussions with Israel out of the realm of secret talks. He has been making noise the past several days that the discussions are not going anywhere.

The Arab world’s demand to flood Israeli with foreign Arabs, as formulated in the Saudi Peace Initiative of 2002, has been considered as a ploy to end Israel as a Jewish state.

It also has been assumed that the Arab world would not agree to give up the condition, but it is not coincidental that Abbas flew to Saudi Arabia last week.

Abbas’ statements that were reported Thursday night will make him out to be a partner for peace. Israel has made hundreds of concessions over the years, but they now are forgotten and are useless in the diplomatic war that Abbas is winning.

Ban Ki-Moon Tries New Sales Pitch to Stab Israel in the Back

Sunday, August 18th, 2013

U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has finally discovered that Israel is a sucker for a pat on the head and has admitted that the Israeli-Palestinian Authority conflict has been so dominant that it has caused Israel to have “suffered from bias and sometimes even discrimination.”

His earth-shaking confession in a speech at an Israeli college scored big points in headlines. He even said that Israel actually should be treated as an equal to all other countries in the undistinguished body.

Isn’t that great news?

That is just the kind of ego booster that makes so many Israelis feel really proud to be an Israeli. More important for U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, it is ammunition for President Barack Obama’s personal Jewish lobby to use to convince Israel that it really is worth to shrink the country back to the tiny strip that existed until seven Arab nations circled the Jewish wagons in 1967.

The United Nations no longer is berating Israel. It now is stroking it with a soothing massage before sticking the goodwill knife in the back.

After Ban Ki-moon removed any concerns that the international body might be a just a smidgen anti-Israel, he jumped on the illusion that the Palestinian Authority and Israel have resumed “direct talks” to declare, “I have never been this optimistic.”

The “direct talks” are a stage show mediated by the United States.

But The U.N. chief insists, “This time, I expect real peace. The Israeli and Palestinian people are neighbors and have no choice but to live in harmony and peace, side by side.”

Of course, that is exactly what they were doing from 1967 until Yasser Arafat came along. Egypt treated Arabs in Gaza with malign neglect before then, and Jordan did nothing to advance to social, education and economic standing of Arabs in Judea and Samaria.

Along came Israel, and the level of education, standard of living reached unprecedented levels for the Arabs, who been living third-world lives.

The along came Yasser Arafat, who promised them a nation, and even provided the terrorists to hurry along the process while manufacturing the concept of a Palestinian people, which never existed and still does not exists

The United Nations has played a major part on the assembly line, creating 5 million “Palestinians” by changing the status of “refugee,” as it used in every other place in the world, to include offspring as “Palestinian refugees,” even if they are third and fourth-generation Syrian, Lebanese and Jordanians.

That is how the grandniece – not even the great grandchild, mind you – of an Arab  who once lived west of Jerusalem in what is now the Jewish community of Zecharia, had the audacity to tell the Christian Science Monitor Sunday,  “I am from Zakaria [sic], not Dhaishe, and to anyone who asks me where I’m from I answer Zakaria. “ This is the village of my grandparents [sic] and we are hoping to return back to it. This is our right and our dream…This is a question of justice and dignity.”

That is why Ban Ki-moon is being so nice to Israel, which he wants to change from a state of Jews to one of Good Samaritans.

It is a gimmick that has worked time and time again. Israel was loved by the entire world for kicking 9,000 Jews out of Gaza in 2005 and withdrawing every IDF soldier and intelligence officer.

Hamas also loved Israel, and thanked it by attacking half of the country with missiles and rockets until this very day.

When Ehud Barack, arguably Israel’s worst-ever prime minister, gave up the security zone in southern Lebanon and hastily withdrew the IDF in 2000, Israel bathed in praised. Hezbollah exploited the power vacuum and Israel’s relaxing under the glowing sun of praise  to attack the other half of Israel with nearly 4,000 missiles in 2006, but that does not matter.

And the world really patted Israel’s shoulders until they were too sore to move for being so Christian as to turn the other cheek and free terrorists time and time again. So what if only a few hundred out of several thousand returned to terror and killed several hundred Israelis?

The important thing is that the world applauded Israel and Ban Ki-moon will continue to do so – until the very end.
