Yishai and Malkah kick off the first show of the year by discussing the struggle of the Knesset Central Election Committee to ban MK Haneen Zoabi from running for an additional term due to her direct participation in the flotilla intended to break Israel’s naval blockade of Gaza.  Find out why the Israeli Supreme Court did not uphold the decision of the Knesset Committee to ban MK Zoabi from the election. Malkah brings the segment around to some positive news with her report on an inspiring drama performance she recently attended put on by Raise Your Spirits Theatre (here is the website). She suggests everyone consider it as a way to deepen connection with Israel and have fun! The drama company was formed in Gush Etzion to combat stress from terror attacks and is doing very special work.  Yishai closes off the segment with several letters from listeners including one from a friend of the show,  Dominican Monk Erik Ross. Father Erik writes comments on last week’s presentation from Rabbi Keleman on the history of X-Mas.
