Fred Maroun — a Canadian of Arab origin, who lived in Lebanon until 1984 (including during 10 years of civil war)– supports Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state. He also favors a liberal and democratic Middle East, where all religions and nationalities can coexist in peace with each other and with Israel. He tells Yishai the ironic tale of how Israel brought him back to a relationship with the Arab world, and the sad reality of how pro-Israel Arabs cannot speak freely in Arab countries.

Then, Paul Miller — executive director of the Salomon Center and a highly regarded writer and political consultant — joins Yishai from the AIPAC policy conference in Washington, and reports on PM Netanyahu’s speech in preparation for his big Congressional address. He also describes the electric talk given by Democratic Sen. Bob Menedez of New Jersey in favor of a strong Israel.

Finally, VOI’s Jeremy Saltan join Yishai in-studio for an analysis of Israeli debates and the lead-up to PM Netanyahu’s speech before the US Congress.
