Professor Nicholas Berthelot Lemann used to be dean at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in New York City. He describes in this clip his experience in his Southern Reform congregation, that had no talitot, no yarmulkas, and no Torah—literally.

Please pay attention not only to the content, but to the very pale, even keeled, Germanic speech. The man is an intellectual heavyweight, and he is far from being an enemy of Israel – but watch him coming across so anemic.
