I wrote recently about the moment when your baby tastes ice cream for the first time, how his or her eyes light up, and they appear to be reevaluating their future on this strange, new planet, from a much more optimistic point of view.

Anything a baby experiences for the first time must be an event, I suppose, even if we can’t always appreciate it.

Just to remind you – here’s a baby who’s introduced, apparently for the first time, to the concept of ripping a piece of paper. Oh, what joy!
