Israeli television Wednesday night showed satellite images that prove Israel did not bomb a Syrian research center, which Syrian President Bashar Assad’s regime claimed was attacked last week.
Israel has all but admitted that the bombing raid targeted advanced Russian-made SA-17 anti-aircraft missiles that were being shipped by truck from Damascus to Hizbullah terrorists in Lebanon.
The research center, involved in chemical warfare, was next to the targeted convoy. Channel 2 News said the satellite images were taken several months before the attack and this past Monday, a week after the raid.
The images, taken by U.S.-based DigitialGlobe, show that the research center was untouched by the bombing but that next to it was a road and parking lot that appeared to have been blackened in the bombing operation.
Reuters reported that the company confirmed the authenticity of the pictures.

Assad’s regime scrapes the bottom of the barrel for propaganda. It displays an old IDF jeep as “proof” Israel is aiding the rebels – but it is more likely that the jeep was in the hands of Hezbollah.

The women in the picture above are Israeli leftists, protesting a whole bunch of stuff, including the fact that Jews are living in areas outside the 1949 armistice “green line,” and the fact that the mostly Arab Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah is considered part of Israel, rather than part of a Palestinian state that [...]

“Do not cook a kid in its mother’s milk.“ It is a puzzling statement, repeated three times in the Torah. Twice in connection with Shavuot, the summer’s first fruits and harvest festival. The third time is in the context of forbidden foods. Traditionally, these texts have been taken to ban cooking, eating, and gaining benefit [...]
This is Judah’s manifest destiny. This is the uncanny persistence of his youth, the anthem of his old.

Eighteen-year-old University of Florida student Christian Aguilar went missing on September 20. His frantic parents, Carlos and Claudia Aguilar, came to the college campus in Gainesville to search for their son. They held daily press conferences and begged for help. They handed out flyers. They organized vigils. Hundreds of law enforcement professionals, as well as volunteers from every background, were prompted to join in the effort.

Israeli soldiers on Tuesday arrested three Palestinian Authority security officers who murdered 24-year-old Ben-Yosef Livnat at Joseph’s Tomb two years ago but spent only one year in a PA jail before being freed. An IDF investigation of the incident confirmed Palestinian Authority claims that Livnat and other Jews tried to enter the holy Jewish site [...]
The annual Home Front Drill is quite routine. This year there are more reasons for Israelis to take it more seriously, such as Assad, Hezbollah and chemical weapons, for starters. Hope for the best.
Israelis are familiar with archaeological finds dating back centuries and sometimes thousands of years. Now the world’s most popular museum, the Louvre, exhibits a 1,700-year-old mosaic found in Lod.
Israel is uncovering terror cells in Judea and Samaria at an alarming rate. This time, a Hamas cell was nabbed before it could murder an Israeli. The Palestinian Authority’s silence speaks loudly.
Kerry has done a lot in three months. He has won the distrust of Abbas. He has personally upbraided Israeli Ambassador Oren. Why is he coming to town this week? Maybe he booked the wrong plane.
Lapid is beginning to smell like a rose thanks to Haredi tycoons. He is taking yeshivas off the government dole and balancing the budget. How will yeshivas survive? The tycoons have an answer – money.
The Palestinian Authority is supposedly on top of terror. So why did the IDF have to raid a wanted terrorist’s home in Samaria and confiscate hundreds of bullets, guns, knives and IDF uniforms?
