I am a grateful  Jew who has been blessed to observe our faith, and serve our country in The Israeli Defense Forces in an active combat unit, with my beloved husband to build our home in the heartland of Israel; Yesha, raise a family and be privileged to work in security, rescue and serve as one of our spokespeople for the Jewish pioneers in Judea, Samaria, Gaza and the Jordan Valley. In this capacity, as I am out in the field in each of my duties I am able to see the true situation on the ground and understand the importance of our government acting in the best interests of the safety and security and future of our Nation.

Recently, our nation commemorated some very painful and important days in our history from Holocaust, to Memorial Day, to Independence Day.  We hear of the efforts of our newly re-elected Prime Minister to secure the members of his (our) government at the same time when we witness the escalation of both verbal and physical violence directed against Jews both in Israel and basically throughout the world.  Also we mustn’t forget the threat from both Iran and Russian military and financial support of our enemies who are bent on destroying us.

What do we expect from our own government?  Certainly not to freeze building in Yesha, Jerusalem or any place else , or to ignore the terror inside of our country in cities, on roads, and even the  verbal terror directed against all of the Jewish people and those who are loyal citizens and serve to protect our country.

What do we want from our government?  We wish for true leadership – leadership that realizes that to placate Obama, Kerry, the PA or anyone else in order to be accepted will never allow us to live safely in our eternal homeland.  We wish the leadership take responsibility for the lives and welfare of both the civilian citizens of Israel, and our security forces.  Even to the point of not allowing the press to broadcast lies reported by our enemies whether the Hamas, PA, UN or anyone else. Not to hand over millions to the PA while the PA not only owes Israel much more for the gas, electricity and water, but continues to encourage violence against Israel and proclaim that the terrorists are martyrs.

We anticipate that Mr. Netanyahu and the government of Israel protect the Jewish faith, the Jewish State and the Jewish people- because that is the mandate that the people of Israel gave them.

Being a non-political person I cannot even imagine what establishing a government entails.  I do know, however, that so many mistakes have been made by our governments which have cost the lives of so many in battles and in terror attacks.  It is not only my hope and prayer, but that of all clear thinking, loyal Israelis, that our government will implement the grave responsibilities given to it.
