Professor Aviezer was followed by humorous memories of our days in Bnei Akiva, by Professor Pesach Rogoway, who held senior technical and management positions at major U.S. and Israel companies, including TRW, Informatics, IBM, Elbit and Tadiran and Motorola Israel.
The formal program concluded with a panel discussion on, “Religious Zionism, how it has changed for good or bad over the 50+ years we have been here and how we would like to see its development in the future.” Each speaker spoke from his or her personal perspective and the audience heard an amalgam of different views. The panelists included Cissie Shilkowsky, Professor Eliezer Jaffe, Rabbi Eliezer Waldman and myself. The presentation was followed by questions and answers, Mincha and more time for getting reacquainted with old friends. The many letters received on the Internet after the event praised the organizers and expressed a thirst for more similar events before too much more time passes.
