Yet these same people have no problem visiting other countries that endorse anti-Semitism, that oppress minorities and women, that “occupy,” persecute and murder anyone they don’t like. Moreover, they seem unconcerned about the corruption and terrorism rampant under the Palestinian Authority. “Not my problem,” they say.

But it is; Israel created and sustains the Palestinian Authority.

Who gave the PA weapons and allowed its corruption to run rampant? Who set up the Swiss bank accounts and allowed terrorism and incitement to flourish (until recently)? Who represents Palestinian businesses while advising the prime minister?

By using “morality” selectively to justify themselves and their hatred of Jews who live “across the Green Line” (the border of 1949) – most of whom are religious – the Left desecrates the ideal to fit its prejudice.

Ignoring the humanitarian issues of Jews whose homes will be destroyed and oblivious to the consequences of unilateral withdrawal – primarily Israel’s security in the face of ongoing terrorism – leftists claim a moral “high ground.” Such “morality” is a sign on their bunker of ignorance, bigotry and defeatism.

If Israel has no right to rule in Yesha, it has no right to rule over Israeli Arabs, or land and property claimed by Arab “refugees.” In fact, the Left undermines the integrity of the state itself.  If the Left is correct, than Zionism is wrong.

To make common cause with the weaker, the underdog, can be an admirable quality. But to assist directly and indirectly those who would create murder and mayhem has no moral justification.

The Left’s most dangerous message is that – despite success in Israel’s ongoing war with Palestinian terrorism – Israel not only cannot win, but Israel should not win. That is a moral disaster.
