As noted on page 54 in this week’s issue of The Jewish Press, the Orthodox Union has announced the creation of a new unit to coordinate all OU programming for women.
Among the goals of the Department of Women’s Initiatives is the facilitation of greater participation of women in leadership positions in all areas of Jewish life. Another goal is the establishment of community learning programs to promote regular contact and exchanges among women in their communities.
