We now appreciate the loss of our father, guidepost and mentor. His impressive contributions to Klal Yisrael continue to be felt to this day through the many institutions and individuals he helped come closer to Hashem, Eretz Yisrael and Knesses Yisrael. Dad, like Hillel HaZaken before him, recognized that when it came to being a member of Knesses Yisrael, the fundamental requirement is to be a mentsch: “Mah d’sani lach l’chavrecha lo taavid.” For him, shalom bayis and kavod habriyos were not negotiable. Dad, we love you and miss you. You will always be in our hearts as we try to live up to your example and standards of bein adam lamakom and bein adam l’chavayro.

T’hei nafsho tzrurah b’tzror hachaim.
