The challenge we face today is apathy to the ways of Hashem. The principles that Hashem established in His holy Torah are being shredded by society and many Jews are celebrating it as a great achievement.

The Rebbe showed us that the way to combat this challenge is with light and kindness. He taught us not to be overwhelmed by the darkness and void that has swept over our generation. He told us to tap into the divine essence of every Jewish neshama one by one and to kindle this candle with love by introducing Jews to a life of mitzvos and Torah study and to allow for the Divine quality within their G-dly soul to prevail.
