At least 4,500 Palestinian Authority Arabs participated this past Friday in the weekly Iranian-backed, Hamas-led violence at Gaza’s border with southern Israel.

The rioters rolled burning tires and hurled rocks, live fireworks, flaming Molotov cocktails and other improvised explosive devices (IEDs) such as hand grenades at Israeli soldiers who were defending the security fence from terrorist attempts to breach the border.

The Gaza-based Hamas Health Ministry reported late Friday that 38 rioters were injured and a 23-year-old attacker was allegedly shot and later died of his wounds in the violence, but there was no way to independently verify the claim.

At least one Israeli military vehicle was damaged by the attackers, according to a report broadcast by Israel’s Kan public broadcasting network.
