Firebomb, also known as a Molotov cocktail

The Israel Security Agency revealed Tuesday that security personnel recently arrested a terrorist cell comprised of youths who were hurling firebombs (Molotov cocktails) at Israeli drivers as they traveled on Highway 443 (also known as the Old Tel Aviv-Jerusalem Highway), Highway 436 and in the area of Givat Ze’ev.

The raid was carried out by Shin Bet intelligence agents together with IDF soldiers and Israel Police officers in the Binyamin region.

According to the Shin Bet, the terror cell was comprised of Palestinian Authority Arab residents of Beit Anan. They were indicted in the Judea Military Court and charged with involvement in seven incidents of firebombing attacks.

Their remand was requested until the end of the proceedings.
