Police enter the Lindt Chocolate Cafe

Australian police stormed the Lindt Chocolate Cafe to free the hostages.

Police SWAT teams entered the cafe using flash grenades. Gunfire was also heard.

There are reports that some hostages may have been injured.

AThe hostages have been extracted.

Update: The hostage situation has been declared over.

The condition of the terrorist is unknown.
