A huge explosion in the southern Gaza city of Rafah killed at least four people and wounded more than 30 others Thursday.

Gaza sources reported that a family was removing debris from m their home that had been dropped last during Operation Protective Edge, when an unexploded bomb detonated.

The family reportedly was preparing to rebuild their home, but there was no explanation why it waited nearly 12 months after the latest war with Hamas ended before removing the debris.

It may be that the explosion was from an unexploded bomb, but no one should rule out that the cause may have been a “work accident” by terrorists.

The explosion occurred at the former home of Sheikh Attia Abu-Nakira, who Haaretz reported was a senior member of Hamas terrorist arm, euphemistically referred to as a “military wing.”
