Yesterday Aryeh Deri offered his resignation to the Shas Council of Sages, to step down as the head of the Shas party, but the Rabbis went to his house to beg him to stay on. He did not meet with them.
This evening at 7:30 PM, Deri is expected to submit his resignation from the Knesset to the Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein.

Some say this is still spin, and others say this is for real.
We’ll only know when Shas submits their final list to the election committee as to how Deri is playing this out.
