Eviatar Matania

Eviatar Matania, head of the civilian National Cyber Bureau, plans to step down from his position at the end of this year.

Matania, a Netanyahu appointee, has led the agency since it was formed under the Prime Minister’s Office in 2011.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in remarks at the opening of Sunday’s cabinet meeting that he will soon recommend a candidate to head the unified body created in the merger announced between the civilian National Cyber Bureau and the military National Cyber Security Authority.
