IDF vehicle patrols Israel-Gaza border fence east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza on August 25, 2021

Two Arab terrorists infiltrated the border security fence from Gaza on Wednesday and managed to set fire to an empty truck in Israeli territory.

The IDF said in a statement that soldiers spotted the pair as they crossed the security fence from southern Gaza, as well as “a third suspect who approached it.”

The truck was being used for construction in the area, the IDF said, adding that the infiltrators returned to Gaza shortly after the incident.

A report by Israel’s KAN News public broadcaster quoted Hamas-linked media that reported the truck was “an IDF bulldozer near the Gaza border.” There’s been no confirmation of that from the IDF, however.
