Rocket that hit a field in the Eshkol region on July 3, 2015

Israeli residents were not aware of it, but Arab terrorists launched two rockets at the southern region late Saturday night from northern Gaza. It appears that the rocket may have miraculously landed short.

The Code Red incoming rocket alert siren did not activate, although it is not clear why.

Security personnel are searching the area along the border to see whether any projectiles landed in on the Israeli side of the security fence.

Sometimes the launch misfires or the rockets malfunction and land instead in Gaza.

Thus far, there is no information on damage or injuries on either side of the border, and it is not clear which terror group is responsible for the launch. Nevertheless, Israel holds the ruling Hamas organization responsible for any hostile activity emanating from Gaza.
