A 20-year-old member of Gaza’s ruling Hamas terror organization asked IDF soldiers to shoot him during violence at the Gaza border last month so that he could earn a $500 payment and monthly stipend from the terrorist group.

Mustafa Banna was charged Wednesday in Israeli military court with a host of security offenses relating to his actions after he crossed the security fence from Gaza into Israeli territory.

According to the indictment, Banna joined Hamas last year, following in the footsteps of his uncle. He is charged with entering a closed military zone, membership in a terrorist organization, providing measures to commit a crime and arms offenses.
