The additional stretch of security fence planned for the Battir area of Gush Etzion has been frozen, reportedly for budgetary reasons.

Both Jews and Arabs have been fighting to freeze this section of the fence, each for their own reasons.

The construction of this controversial section of the fence has been repeatedly frozen over the years.
