Gazans clash with Israeli security forces on the Israeli border, east Rafah, southern Gaza Strip, July 20, 2018.

Israeli fighter pilots dropped Arabic-language leaflets in Gaza on Thursday, warning the local population not to take part in the violent riots led each Friday by Hamas at the border.

The leaflets were distributed in the hope that Gazans would refrain from joining Hamas and other terrorists in their attempts to damage the security fence, breach the border and attack IDF soldiers.

The violence and destruction of the security fence by Gazans forces Israeli soldiers to defend the border, sometimes at a cost to Gazan lives.

However, most of those killed in the process thus far have actually been members of the Hamas terrorist organization who were using the riots as cover for attempts to infiltrate into Israeli territory.
