The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terror organization is claiming to have captured a female Israeli-Canadian dual citizen who went to fight with the Kurds.

Dual citizen Gila Rosenberg, reportedly captured by the terrorist group, joined up with Iraqi Kurds a few weeks ago to fight against ISIS in Syria.

Last week she wrote on Facebook that she would no longer be updating her page because she was heading to an area without Internet reception.

Rosenberg had posted photos of Tel Aviv and the Old City of Jerusalem, snapped prior to leaving for the Kurdish areas of Iraq and Syria. “My last day in Israel seems like way more than a week ago,” she wrote.

And the caption of another: “YPG uniform pics coming soon! Once the tailor finishes my customized uniform.”

The Syrian jihadi websites associated with ISIS reported Sunday that Rosenberg, 31, was kidnapped by the terrorist group.

A site believed to be a mouthpiece for ISIS also claimed that several other female Kurdish fighters were captured along with Rosenberg. The site reported that ISIS guerrillas carried out three suicide attacks prior to the women’s abduction.

The Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) has said it has no details about Rosenberg’s fate.

Kurdish rebel fighters told a reporter for Israel public radio, meanwhile, that Rosenberg had not been seen in the northern Syrian Kurdish city of Kobani. The fighter added it was doubtful she was captured, and more likely the report was ISIS propaganda.
