Ramadan Shalah (60), the head of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorist organization suffered a stroke and has been in a coma for several weeks, according to reports that are beginning to surface now.

Shalah was taken from Damascus to a Beirut hospital after having a number of heart attacks. He apparently suffered the stroke during surgery and has been in a coma since.
