An Israeli Border Guard Police officer was attacked in the Jerusalem neighborhood of A-Tur on Saturday afternoon.

The attack occurred while the officer was responding to a call received on the national 100 Israel Police hotline switchboard.

The officer arrested at least one of the gang of Arabs who attacked him.

Backup security personnel arrived and launched a search to track down and identify the other locals who were involved in the attack.

No injuries were reported.
