Two Tel Aviv train stations are to be expanded under a new NIS 70 million plan by Israel Railways.

Construction has already begun at the Savidor-Center station, where a terminal will be added on the Moda’i Bridge in Ramat Gan, creating an extension from the existing platforms, through which some 55,000 travelers pass daily.

Travelers will see the completed project by November 2017.

The second station, HaShalom, will also receive an added terminal – at a cost of NIS 50 million. It is set to open south of Derech HaShalom by October 2017 and which will allow travelers to enter and leave the station on the other side of the road.

Some 55,000 passengers flow through HaShalom station daily.

Savidor-Center and HaShalom are the two busiest train stations in the country.
