The Jewish Communal Fund (JCF), the largest Jewish donor advised fund in the country, distributed $297 million in grants to charities in all sectors during the 2015 fiscal year ending June 30, 2015. JCF fund holders recommended a record-number of grants – 43,472 – to charities in all sectors, an 11 percent increase from 2014. The average grant amount was $6,839.

“The incredible growth in the number of grants distributed in fiscal year 2015 reflects the generous nature of Jewish Communal Fund’s donors, who are active grant-makers responding to pressing needs at home and abroad,” said Susan F. Dickman, Executive Vice President and CEO of Jewish Communal Fund.

While grants were distributed to charities in all sectors, the largest categories of grants by dollar amount went to educational, international/Israel-based charities, and community organizations.
