The founder of the Hamas terrorist organization – Hassan Yousef – was one of those arrested and jailed. Yousef’s son Mosab, who years ago gave information to Israeli intelligence operatives before he converted to Christianity and moved abroad, was disowned by his father after writing a book about his experiences, called “Son of Hamas.”

Among the more than 50 Hamas members arrested Sunday night was Abdel Aziz Duweik, who stands as the second in command to Mahmoud Abbas in the PA unity government. Duweik is also the second-highest Hamas official in Judea and Samaria, and speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC).
