Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that he is supporting the continuation of Yuval Edelstein’s reign in a third term as Speaker of the Knesset.

The appointment must still be approved by the Knesset, and traditionally the vote is unanimous.

Netanyahu met Sunday evening with Edelstein at the official prime minister’s residence in Jerusalem.
