For the first time ever, Israel’s Tourism Ministry is launching a campaign in Romania to promote trips to Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

Increase in incoming tourism from Romania and the potential seen from the country sparked the decision to launch a wide-ranging effort that includes a dedicated website in Romania.

“City Break” packages to Tel Aviv and Jerusalem are also being offered at attractive prices.

At peak season there are 64 weekly flights between Romania and Israel, with most on the Bucharest-Tel Aviv route. In November, a new route will start from Bucharest to Ovdah airport in Eilat as well.

The campaign is being aired on leading Romanian television channels, including Pro TV Kanal D, and on leading internet sites, social media and magazines such as OK! and Unica, among others.
