T-Shirt: Jews against Obama

Jewish voters’ support for President Barack Obama has sunk from 61 percent in January to only 50 percent in March, according to a new Gallup poll.

The gap between approval of the president by Jews and by the national average has narrowed to only 8 percentage points for the first three months and 4 points for the last month.

The emerging deal with Iran and President Obama’s attacks and affronts to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu are the reasons for the drop in support among Jews.

Among Orthodox Jews, defined as those who attend synagogue at least once a week, the approval rating is only 34 percent.  Support among Jews who do not have a college degree was only 39 percent compared with 62 percent among those with a higher education degree.

Jewish women approve of President Obama by 11 percentage points more than men over the past 15 months, while the national average is only 6 percent points between women and men.

The question is whether President Obama’s drooping popularity among Jews will be translated into support for a Republican presidential candidate at the polls.

If Hillary Clinton is the Democratic candidate, Jewish support for her is expected to rise sharply.

Republicans should not jump for joy too soon, author Josh Zeitz told Politico.

“As was the case then, today, most American Jews cast their votes as concerned American liberals and moderates, not as foreign proxies for the Israeli government,” he said.

Zeitz added:

But that doesn’t stop the GOP from hoping.

There’s always a place for tradition. Every year during Passover, Jews open the door in expectation of the Prophet Elijah, who will someday herald the coming of the Messiah. And every four years, the pundits await the great Jewish embrace of the Republican Party.

As it was said then, so it is said now: Next year in New Hampshire.

  1. the numbers are always inflated to benefit the Democratic Party. For the media to finally admit it is at 50% that’s huge. it means its much lower but you will always have people that vote against Israel. There are Jews in Name only you know. Please keep in mind this has always been the case in history. We have a lot of self hating jews and far left liberals in our midst. It was the case in Hanukkah, it was the case in PASSOVER which just ended. Only 20% of Jews left Egypt with Moses !!!!!! So 80% of Jews in Egypt after seeing all the miracles G-d did for us still not trusted in Hashem or fellow Jews and stayed in Egypt. That should tell you everything.

  2. I wonder how many conservative and reform Jews were polled? Once I know that, the poll will either be valid or invalid to me, and should be to others. Please publish the question(s), how it/they were asked, and the respondents’ religious affiliations.

  3. I dont like to wear such t-shirts, against or for. But I must admit that this time, we are compelled to do more than wearing a T-shirt. This man has to go definitely as he is not just against us but also against the common sense. I really don’t know what to think about this president! I don’t get him. What is sure is that he really wants to please the terrorists. He began his professional life as a social worker so maybe he wants to please everybody? Or is it just for the oil? I hope I could find someone who can explain me. Or the man is simply possessed like Hitler and many were before him? I really think that in this world the Satanists want to kill our people. I am not a fan of the plot theories. I just know that there are dark forces in this world who always wanted to destroy our people. It is even written in the Thora. At every generation, there will be a leader rising who will wish to make us disappear. I just have one thing to say to those satanists or whoever they are (Tom Cruise thinks they are aliens! He is maybe right? Who knows what is really going on in their shadows?) and to all our Jewish fellows who hate themselves wrongly: AM ISRAEL HAI. Bless you all and stat united. They hate our unity and faithfulness.

  4. Jews are not against Obama so don’t bother with the shirt. Only Republicans who are getting lots of money from certain Jewish lobbyists have been bribed to support anything and everything Bibi has to say. U.S. Jews, in the majority, support Israel but not Bibi’s policies.

  5. The only way to peace is for arabs who do not whish to be Israelis and live peacfully in Israel to leave to other existing arab countries. There is no room for 2 states in Israel. Helping such arabs to move will cost less than what’s spent on wars.

  6. Wake up Jews of America! Any leader who does not back up Israel’s right to exist as a condition for Irans negotiation and threatens to down Israeli planes if they try to attack Iran is no ally and advocate for the one and only Jewish State of Israel

  7. Milt Weisman.. Exactly.. There is no way in the world they asked every single Jewish person in America..
So many people are gathered, then asked to fill out a survey, or asked to raise their hands.
A small group of people doesn’t represent all American Jewish people….
I love these polls… They are hilarious

  8. As soon as he said his father was muslim, and he became president, all the Jewish people should have left for Israel. He is making our America become divided more than ever, Liberals against the Conservatives. Not only that a possible civil war 11.

  9. Headline….news! flash!….this just in………..In an effort to mend fortified walls with the currently elected Israeli government and the Jewish people, Obama had the White House barber cut a part in his hair through the middle, in order to form his ‘Afro’ into a resemblance of the parting of the Red Sea……..lighter red dye included……….The President again, took criticism from the American ‘gentilian’ right wing on the matter, who declared Obama has betrayed fashioning a ‘conk’………little compromise is expected for the near future…. Meanwhile, John Bohner is still trying his best to do his imitation of ‘Tattoo the Tanner Midget’…..

  10. “””Look, as I blow this feather from my face,
And as the air blows it to me again,
Obeying with my wind when I do blow,
And yielding to another when it blows,
    Commanded always by the greater gust;
Such is the lightness of you common men.
But do not break your oaths; for of that sin
My mild entreaty shall not make you guilty.”””””
(from Henry VI III, Henry speaking)…..

  11. Religious Jews are in the minority, and they apparently have a problem identifying their true friends. Yes, there are misinformed leftists (mostly the young) who are anti-Zionist. But right wing fundamentalist Christians do not have the best interests of Israel at heart.

  12. Good article. Not surprising that Jewish support for Obama is greater than national average that it’s lowest among perportedly “religious” Jews and highest among well-educated Jews. Remember these polls are in the abstract not as compared to any one or more of the Republicans who do not believe in evolution, climate change, women’s reproductive choices, universal health care, sensible gun laws and other progressive issues all of which are acepted in Israel across the political spectrum. Unless the Republicans can somehow morph her middle name from Rodham to Hussein, I predict Hillary will get 75% of the Jewish vote. We will see.

  13. im against Obama all the way cause there is no way he will ever change his mind about God’s Chosen people….to all the jews out there, im for israel all the way and those who are against you, God will deal with them and make your enemies your footstool

  14. Let’s discuss Obama’s “bigotry to the Jewish people.” There are more Jews in high position in his administration than in any other in American history. He is the ONLY president in US history to call out anti-Semitism by name in the State of the Union message. And he put up with Bibi a whole lot longer than I would have, and I am a Jew and a former resident of Israel. It is not coincidence that with one single exception, every Jewish representative and senator in Congress is a Democrat. It is because conservative Republicans, in spite of their recent love of Israel due to their constituents’ warped interpretation of the hallucinogenic Book of Revelation, are still basically anti-Semitic.

  15. Let’s discuss Obama’s “bigotry to the Jewish people.” There are more Jews in high position in his administration than in any other in American history. Sound anti-Semitic to you? He is the ONLY president in US history to call out anti-Semitism by name in the State of the Union address. Sound anti-Semitic to you? And in spite of Bibi endorsing Mittens for President, Obama put up with him for a whole lot longer than I would have, and I am a Jew and a former resident of Israel. It is no coincidence that with one exception, every Jewish representative and senator is a Democrat. It is because conservative Republicans, in spite of their recent supposed love for Israel due to their constituents’ warped interpretation of the hallucinogenic Book of Revelation, are still basically anti-Semitic. The only bigotry on display here is that of ignorant people who can’t stand a black man in the White House.

  16. I don’t know any of you, so I can’t say if you are racist, but you are all clearly delusional ignoramuses. The support among the non-haredi is still well above 50%. And it is said we are smart. If any of you are Jewish, you must be in the not-so-smart portion. All groups have them.

  17. Dear Gilbert, it is not anti-Semitic views that some republicans have, it is hatred for the destruction liberalism promotes. You are a good example. Educated by abc, cnn you are naive and have no discernment whatsoever. You are to be pitied. Self righteousness = bigotry. It has nothing to do with color, etc. And ANYone can have that particular disease. Hope you grow up soon.
